JOB TITLE: Advisor I - HSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee day-to-day HSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain HSE Management System in line with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 to retain certification.
  • Develop and maintain necessary HSE MS documentation for the project.
  • Initiate and support HSE Awareness programs and campaigns.
  • Application of hazard identification and risk assessment processes in designated areas of responsibility and implementation of appropriate control measures to reduce the risks to ALARP.
  • Participate in the review of the effectiveness of hazard controls/mitigations.
  • Participate in implementing HSE lessons learned within designated areas of responsibility and communicating more widely where appropriate.
  • Provide input to the HSE component of the action tracking system.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are communicated to all relevant personnel in designated areas of responsibility and verify compliance by all appropriate means (meetings, inspections, monitoring, and audits).
  • Assist fully in the investigation of incidents and near misses.
  • Organize and participate fully and openly in all compliance assurance audits, inspections, performance meetings, etc.
  • Ensure Objectives, Policies and Procedures are implemented in designated areas of responsibility.
  • Carry out other related duties as advised by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) or Diploma (3 years).
  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent.
  • Lead or Internal Auditor (ISO 45001/ ISO 14001).
  • 5 years of HSE experience preferably Oil & Gas site experience.
  • Ability to understand and implement HSE Plans and Site Specific HSE Procedures / Work Instructions and Safe System of Work.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Good communication skills.
