JOB TITLE: OPERATOR- CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operations and Maintenance of the new facilities on board the existing client facilities (ABOT).
· This includes SCADA and Communications equipment.
· Continually manning and monitoring of the MDU and recording and reporting all loading data.
· Interface with other agencies onboard the ABOT and by radio.
· Operations and Maintenance of the new facilities on board the new client facilities (CMMP).
· This includes SCADA, communications equipment, emergency power and metering.
· The CRT will be part of a multi-disciplined operations and maintenance team.
· Responsible for training of localized nationals
· Accountable for the management of the control room
· Maintaining communications with FOA Central Control Room and the tanker
· Log loading data of tankers as supplied by the FOA Central Control Room, Tanker
· and the Offshore Contracts manager or the Marine contractor
· Ensuring the control room is properly managed during your tour of duty.
· Prepare maintenance routines as guided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer
· Carry out preventative and planned maintenance as required.
· Good knowledge of standard Permit to Work systems.
· Proven ability at local electrical isolations of communications equipment
· Proven track record with SCADA equipment able to carry out corrective maintenance should the need arise.
· Maintain sufficient spares and materials for maintenance routines and replenish as necessary.
· Familiar with the use of radio equipment and voice procedure when contacting remote marine stations.
· Key interface with the client with respect to control room activities
· Takes the lead with respect to Senior Representative in clients control room –phase 1.
· Senior person on the CMMP – phase
· Advise and assist on technical issues as required during the installation and commissioning of the CMMP.
· Able to maintain a clear and concise shift logbook.
· Produce clear handover notes at the end of shift and end of tour.
· Covers for the position of PTU operator in case of need and on request of the operations & Maintenance Manager.
· Support and participate in CMMP decks maintenance and housekeeping.
· Support others disciplines as requested by CMMP Maintenance manager.
· Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as required by the reporting manager.
· Responsible in maintaining Petrofac HSSE Policies, Life Saving Rules & Standards and perform assigned tasks and duties in accordance with instructions, safety rules/procedures, regulations, and codes of practice.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· 5+ years’ experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas project/operations.
· Marine/ Crude loading preferred.
· Diploma in a relevant discipline
· Can demonstrate understanding of communication systems functions with own underpinning knowledge.
