JOB TITLE: Deputy Logistics Manager - Module & Heavy Haul Transportation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         The Site-Based Module Logistics & Heavy Haul Deputy Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe, timely, and efficient receipt, handling, and installation coordination of prefabricated modules at the project site. This role manages the interface between transportation, site operations, and construction teams to ensure that modules are delivered and positioned in accordance with project plans, while maintaining full compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.

·         Manage all site-based logistics activities related to the receipt, offloading, handling, storage, and placement of prefabricated modules.

·         Coordinate with marine and overland transport teams to schedule module deliveries in line with construction priorities and site readiness.

·         Ensure laydown areas, module routes, and lifting zones are prepared and meet engineering and safety requirements.

·         Supervise module offloading operations, including heavy-lift crane activities, transporters, SPMTs (Self-Propelled Modular Transporters), and rigging teams.

·         Liaise closely with construction, engineering, planning, and HSE teams to integrate logistics activities into the master schedule.

·         Lead site logistics meetings and coordinate module handling schedules with subcontractors and EPC partners.

·         Review and approve lifting plans, rigging studies, and method statements for module handling and installation.

·         Monitor and manage logistics KPIs, daily progress reports, and interface tracking for module deliveries.

·         Coordinate with customs and regulatory authorities (as applicable) for clearance and compliance of module shipments.

·         Ensure adherence to project-specific HSE procedures, and lead toolbox talks and safety walkdowns related to logistics operations.

·         Manage logistics documentation including delivery dockets, inspection reports, and damage reports.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering / marine or mechanical engineering or a related field in Logistics

·         Maximum years of experience in module transportation logistics, heavy-lift operations, or project logistics in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors

·         Strong understanding of heavy-lift logistics, module handling, transport equipment (SPMTs, cranes), and site operations.

·         Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline teams and coordinate across departments in high-pressure environments.

·         Familiarity with international logistics, Incoterms, customs regulations, and heavy-haul best practices.

·         Proficiency in project logistics systems, MS Office, and planning tools

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

·         Experience in large-scale projects (e.g., LNG, oil & gas, offshore, mega infrastructure).

·         Marine logistics or port operations experience related to module offloading.

·         HSE certifications and familiarity with lifting standards (e.g., LOLER, ASME B30).

·         Training or certifications in heavy transport and lifting (e.g., Rigging Supervisor, Crane Coordinator).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·         Full-time site-based role; with rotation based on project / location.

·         Requires working in outdoor, high-traffic, industrial environments.

·         May involve long hours, night shifts, and weekend operations during module delivery phases.

·         Must be medically fit for site and/or offshore work as applicable.
