JOB TITLE: DRILLING SUPERINTENDENT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and oversee drilling operations for an offshore facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with HSE and environmental requirements.
• Manage day-to-day rig operations, including coordination of offshore teams and logistics.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client during operations, ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
• Review and contribute to drilling programmes to support safe and effective execution.
• Lead and supervise offshore teams, ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and control project costs, including budget (AFE) management and approvals.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure quality performance and integration across operations.
• Manage operational risks, incidents, and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational, HSE, and cost performance.
• Lead emergency response activities in line with project plans and procedures.
• Conduct regular offshore site visits to monitor operations, verify compliance, and support safe project delivery.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement through lessons learned and performance reviews.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Engineering degree (preferred but not essential).
• Strong experience in drilling and well operations, including rig site supervision of drilling and completions activities.
• Broad understanding of well construction, including drilling, completions, well testing, and well services.
• Strong focus on well control and safe operating practices.
• Solid knowledge of rig site procedures, equipment, and risk management.
• Strong business and cost management awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
