JOB TITLE: HSE SUPERINTENDENT
12-month fixed term position on GP3 on a 2/3 rota
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
champion all aspects of HSE compliance in relation to activities on board the facility promoting HSE awareness, the right behaviours and reinforcing personal responsibility
Ensure management and supervision on site are coached and supported in their accountabilities and responsibilities
assure compliance with the Safety Case and participate in HSE assessment of Workpacks, Job Cards and Risk Assessments
assist facility and support management team in delivery of the emergency drills schedule and support adherence from decommissioning team
interaction with asset functional teams in support of all matters relating to HSE management
implement the Company Safety & Environmental Management System arrangements at site
co-ordinate and actively participate in health, safety and environmental meetings offshore
support the development and implementation of HSE objectives and targets in line with asset HSE Strategy and plans
conduct permit to work audits, reviews, active monitoring and incident investigations
prepare reports and statistics for internal and external reporting
active member of the asset HSE Team
ensure legal compliance at all times from both a major accident hazard and occupational safety and environmental perspective
assure that the correct corporate and site procedures are applied to all activities in line with agreed interface documents
actively support , mentor and participate in tool box talks
share HSE Lessons Learned where appropriate
assure compliance with Company HAVs protocols
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Nebosh Certificate as a minimum
Accident /Incident investigation knowledge and experience and root cause skill sets
previous experience of offshore operations in an HSE role, and good understanding of regulatory requirements
experience of offshore construction related activities and in particular decommissioning would be advantageous
a good level of computer literacy
excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with all levels at site
strong team player
use initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision
