Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an IT Lead Oracle Reporting and Integrations on a 12 months contract basis based in Chennai, India.

Key Responsibilities:

a)    Lead and contribute to end-to-end Oracle Fusion ERP implementation projects, including integrations, reporting, and post-go-live support.

b)    Design, build, and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) in alignment with Oracle best practices and enterprise standards.

c)     Develop inbound and outbound integrations using SOAP and REST services, FBDI, ADF DI, and event-based integrations.

d)    Design and implement robust error handling, monitoring, and exception management frameworks within OIC.

e)    Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs, integration specifications, and reporting solutions.

f)      Deliver integrations between Oracle ERP Cloud (HCM, Financials, SCM, PPM) and third-party applications.

g)    Troubleshoot API payload issues, OIC failures, and integration performance bottlenecks; provide root-cause analysis and corrective solutions.

h)    Design, develop, and maintain Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI reports, including complex reports and ESS jobs.

i)      Drive new report development, enhancement of existing reports, and ongoing maintenance and performance optimization.

j)      Perform hands-on development using SQL and PL/SQL, including packages and functions, and expose services as REST APIs using ORDS.

k)     Support post-implementation and production operations, including incident resolution, enhancements, and change management activities.

l)      Monitor implementation activities to ensure compliance with design principles, security, and integration best practices.

m)   Support Oracle Fusion ERP environment and operational management, ensuring system stability and availability.

n)    Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including technical design documents, unit and integration test scripts, code migration documents, and quality review artifacts.

o)    Utilize Application Composer and Page Composer for configuration, extensions, and personalizations.

p)    Ensure adherence to security standards, access controls, and version management processes across Oracle Cloud environments.

q)    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, acting as a technical lead and trusted advisor.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or university in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of Oil & Gas field services business practices.
  • 8–10 years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle Fusion ERP solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).

  • Proven expertise in:

  • o   SOAP & REST Web Services

  • o   FBDI, ADF DI, and Event-based integrations

  • o   Error handling and troubleshooting in OIC

  • Strong ability to convert business requirements into technical designs and solutions.

  • Solid experience integrating Oracle ERP Cloud with third-party systems.

  • Strong capabilities in PL/SQL, Oracle data models, and Fusion reporting tools.

  • Extensive experience with BI Publisher, OTBI, ESS jobs, and complex report development.

  • Hands-on experience exposing database logic as REST services using ORDS.

  •  Good understanding of Oracle Fusion security, access control models, and version/environment management.

  • Experience supporting production environments, including incident and change management.

  • Strong documentation skills covering design, testing, migration, and operational artifacts.

  • Experience with Application Composer and Page Composer.

  • Exposure to VBCS, Oracle APEX, GitHub, and DevOps practices is a strong advantage.

  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

  •  Oracle Fusion ERP (any functional pillar)
