JOB TITLE: LEAD MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Lead Maintenance Engineer will primarily support the operations in Equatorial Guinea for the Jade and Serpentina offshore installations. Based in Aberdeen, The Lead Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the Asset operations team maximizing operating efficiencies whilst driving positive change for the operations team based in Equatorial Guinea. The Lead Maintenance Engineer will functionally report to the Operations Excellence & Technical Director and will undertake the following key roles -
- Support and guide the in-country maintenance planning and technical personnel in the planning and execution of planned and corrective maintenance across both assets.
- Support any “blue-light priority” that demand immediate attention in support of maintaining safety and production.
- Lead safety- and production-critical maintenance projects – establishing workable execution plans for these that are then delivered by the in-country team.
- Considering likely failure modes for critical equipment, pre-plan reactive maintenance (optimising issues such as spares, labour, work packs/methods etc) to minimize potential downtime on the assets.
- Review and optimize planned maintenance and assurance activities to align assets with best practice (i.e. rationalizing PMs, assuring alignment with performance standards, optimizing data collection for subsequent use etc).
- The Lead Maintenance Engineer will also be experienced and competent in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
- The Lead Maintenance Engineer will coordinate with Petrofac technical support via the Global Technical Solutions function.
- Provide maintenance technical input, guidance, and support to the GEPZafiro Asset.
- Provide day-to-day maintenance support to the contract as required.
- Interface with the Petrofac technical authority group to enhance performance standards, PMAs and meters to support SECE maintenance assurance.
- Prepare estimates / CTRs and assist in the review of proposed schedules.
- Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements.
- Support development of in-country personnel through advice, coaching, training and technical development.
- Provide support to maintenance work streams for asset transformation projects.
- Provide insight and guidance to maintenance strategy and performance standard updates.
- Provide support to maintenance rationalization projects on GEPZafiro contract.
- Provide maintenance guidance to Projects and modifications within E&C department inclusive of maintenance strategy development aligning to CMMS ready for effective project handover.
- Provide support in the creation of asset operating procedures, guidelines and standards.
- Interrogate and analyse CMMS information on past historical failures to fully understand common failure modes and propose effective and efficient solutions to remedy the faults.
- Work closely with the CMMS, Reliability and Critical Spares engineers to complete full life-cycle reviews of maintenance plans on the assets. Review, rationalise and propose effective and efficient improvements to the maintenance build whilst reducing overall expenditure.
- Support reactive maintenance readiness planning and Reliability Centred Maintenance programmes for the asset.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience in an operations & maintenance environment.
- Awareness of major accident hazards and knowledge of key safety legislation and regulations.
- Fully conversant with maintenance management systems.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes and procedures in an offshore environment.
- Electrical authorization.
- Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
