JOB TITLE: LEAD PLANNER
This post is based onshore in Malabo Equatorial Guinea on a 28/28 rotation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
‘Live’ our CB&I Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
Promote and demonstrate the advantages of the CB&I Integrated Activity Planning Process internally and externally
Embed consistent planning processes and procedures, including Plan Entry Criteria, effective Change Management, Activity Prioritisation and Plan Attainment KPI’s ensuring Client planning expectations are met
Develop and maintain the IAP in line with CB&I Policies producing Life of Field, 6Q, 90 Day and 28 Day versions of the plan at the appropriate level of detail.
Monitor the POB Forecast at Strategic, 6Q, 90 Day and 28 Day levels.
Development, production and communication of Planning deliverables such as Gantt Charts, Network Diagrams, S-Curves, Histograms and tabular manhour reports using CB&I licensed software applications.
Collate and report on Planning KPI’s on a weekly basis, giving feedback on results and propose where improvements can be made.
Regular liaison with EG Block B activity owners through IAP meetings and engagements
Ensure that all activities entering the IAP have been assessed, prioritised and approved by the appropriate Gatekeeper
Work with the Block B activity owners to ensure the effective delivery of the 28 Day and 7 Day plans.
Ongoing identification and implementation of improvements to the planning process based on industry best practise and technical expertise.
Ensure effective communication with all internal and third-party IAP interfaces.
Developing effective working relationships with activity owners and stakeholders across all Block B worksites.
Understand existing client needs and identify potential opportunities to offer additional planning services.
Close Liaison with cost and procurement departments
Coordinate planning activities across Block B in order to be able to support the provision of other ad-hoc planning requirements including tender submissions, bids, transitions and internal initiatives and business projects.
Participate and contribute to subordinate competency assessment and development
Acting as a role model and providing coaching, mentoring and support to incumbent planners in order to ensure ongoing personal development and broaden planning knowledge and experience.
Providing ongoing coaching and support to the wider asset team in order to ensure continuous compliance with the requirements of processes and procedures.
Deputise for Planning Manager responsibilities, as required
Close Liaison with Shutdown Delivery Team
Actively share lessons learned and best practice with all Block B worksites

Embed consistent scheduling processes and procedures, including Readiness, effective Change Management, Activity Prioritisation and Schedule Attainment KPI’s ensuring Client scheduling expectations are met
Integrates plans across Assets to provide High Level Management reports
The postholder is expected to adhere to the Golden Rules of Safety (transitioning to ‘The 9 Lifesaving Rules in 2020) and the CB&I Values.
Develops 6Q Asset Plan with alignment with the annual budget ensuring changes are reflected in the budget and vice versa.
Monitor application of IAP and Work Scheduling Process across Assets and liaise with Team to understand areas of concern and work with Planners, offshore Schedulers and Stakeholders to resolve.
Through input from Teams, Observation and Networking within the industry identifies and implements improvements to the planning and scheduling process.
Be aware of planning and scheduling resource workloads and development requirements to support ad-hoc support.
Through compilation of High-Level Management reports is able to identify and filter data to fulfil management reporting.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
HNC or equivalent management / technical qualification
A related qualification in Planning and Controls
Proven implementation of Integrated Planning Process
Proven Leadership, Coaching and Development of Planning Teams
Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)
Proficient in the use of Planning Software (Microsoft Project/Primavera P6), Excel & Word
Significant knowledge of implementing Planning Interface Software
Significant experience of Integrated Asset Planning including planning controls i.e. KPI’s, Readiness etc.
Significant experience of Maintenance Scheduling including Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Significant knowledge of Shutdown, Project or Drilling Planning
Significant experience of offshore operations within an Oil and Gas environment
