Main purpose of role:

 

In support of the Duty Holder Assets and Operations & Maintenance contracts, the Lead Planning Engineer (IAP) will provide functional oversight of the incumbent planners in order to ensure that the Integrated Activity Planning process is delivering in accordance with Petrofac and client requirements.

 

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

1.    Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘Nine Life Saving Rules’.

 

2.    ‘Live’ our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.

 

3.    Ensuring the provision of the full suite of Integrated Activity Plans (28 Day / 90 Day / 6Q / Life of Field) as an enabler to achieving Petrofac and Client business performance targets (Financial, Production and HSE).

 

4.    Developing, rolling out and embedding consistent planning processes and procedures for all Duty Holder assets and O&M Contracts across EPS West, including Plan Entry Criteria, effective Change Management, Activity Prioritisation and Plan Attainment KPI’s.

 

5.    Providing ongoing coaching and support to the incumbent planners and the wider asset team in order to ensure continuous compliance with the requirements of those processes and procedures.

 

6.    Manage planning resources across the Duty Holder and O&M Contracts in order to be able to support the provision of other ad-hoc planning requirements including tender submissions, bids, transitions and internal initiatives and business projects.

 

7.    Developing effective working relationships with planners and key stakeholders (Senior Management / Asset Leadership onshore and offshore / Business Development Managers and clients) across all parts of EPS West.

 

8.    Ensuring a comprehensive understanding of existing client needs and identifying potential opportunities to offer additional planning services across the Duty Holder and O&M portfolios.

 

9.    Overseeing and driving the transition to Primavera P6 for all asset planning activities.

 

10.  Establishing effective mechanisms to allow for the integration of relevant data from Maximo to Primavera P6 in order to support effective planning and scheduling of activities.

 

11.  Coordinating and communicating team highlights and lowlights through regular meetings with the planners, Asset Teams, Business Delivery Managers and clients.

 

12.  Contributing to planning team competence assessment and identifying opportunities for lateral learning and development opportunities for planners across the range of planning activities within Petrofac.

 

13.  Acting as a role model and providing coaching, mentoring and support to incumbent planners in order to ensure ongoing personal development and broaden planning knowledge and experience.

 

14.  Maintaining an overview of resourcing requirements and projections to ensure adequate coverage of planning roles with the required levels of resilience and flexibility.

 

15.  Ongoing identification and implementation of improvements to the planning process based on industry best practise and technical expertise.

 

16.  Deputise for Operations Manager (Planning & Shutdown Support) as required

 

17.  Develop roll out and embed consistent scheduling processes and procedures for all Duty Holder Assets and O&M Contracts across EPS West, including Readiness, Change Management, Activity Prioritisation and Schedule Attainment KPIs.

 

18.  Integrates plans across Assets to provide High Level Management reports

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

 

·         Monitors 6Q Asset Plans and their alignment with the annual budget ensuring changes are reflected in the budget and vice versa.

 

 

PROBLEM SOLVING

·         Through input from Teams, Observation and Networking within the industry, identifies and implements improvements to the planning and scheduling process.

·         Review / Assess planning team competencies and identify opportunities for planners across Petrofac.

·         Be aware of planning and scheduling resource workloads and development requirements to support ad-hoc support.

·         Through compilation of High-Level Management reports can identify and filter data to fulfil management reporting.

 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

Knowledge & Qualifications:

 

 

·         HNC or equivalent management / technical qualification

·         A related qualification in Planning and Controls

·         Proven implementation of Integrated Planning Processes

·         Proven Leadership, Coaching and Development of Planning Teams

·         BOSIET

·         Proficient in the following:

o   Planning Software, Excel & Word

o   Planning Interface Software

o   Integrated Asset Planning and Maintenance Scheduling

o   Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

o   In the use of Planning Controls from data entry, managing readiness and change control to key performance indicators

o   Shutdown, Project or Drilling Planning

o   Offshore operations within an oil and gas environment
