JOB TITLE: LEAD SUBSEA INTEGRITY ENGINEER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide expertise in the field of Subsea Integrity
- Management for the GEP Zafiro Project in Equatorial Guinea
- Subsea Integrity Senior / Lead duties typically include the following activities, which can be undertaken independently and/or in collaboration with the GEP Subsea Team members (based in Malabo, EG):
- Responsible for the development and ongoing implementation of the Subsea Pipelines Integrity Management System, Anomaly Management, RBI and scheduling of inspection tasks.
- focal point for Petrofac Subsea Pipelines Integrity TA and GEPZ Subsea team
- Develop and take ownership for the development of Subsea inspection workscopes in accordance with RBI inspection schedule and classification requirements across multiple assets.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of key integrity strategies and documentation.
- Involvement in failure investigations
- Provide input to the annual review of structural performance standards (subsea element).
- Providing technical and project leadership in support of subsea elements of project delivery.
- Participate and provide information, where necessary, for audits and HSE (or EG equivalent body) visits
- Coordinate 3rd party vendors and provide scopes of work where required relating to day to day integrity management of pipelines / subsea infrastructure.
- Managing and support of subsea studies (specialist assessments) and projects relating to day to day integrity management of pipelines / subsea infrastructure.
- Be a SME for all aspects of subsea facilities integrity management (excluding wells), particularly related to offshore remediation / intervention and related offshore operations.
- Develop, undertake and revise subsea pipelines Risk Assessments, advise on inspection / maintenance / repair activities / review inspection results / generate anomaly documentation and maintain subsea pipelines anomaly register.
- Review periodically the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) frequency for subsea, typically after the IRM surveys
- Provide the Pipeline and subsea periodic assurance status report to Petrofac and GEP Leadership
- Review/Update the Pipelines related documentation GEPZ managed OMS
- Provide immediate review of critical anomalies (if any), interfacing with the specialist teams and advise on required maintenance / repair activities
- Provide technical support for the subsea decom / obsolete equipment removal campaigns, subsea intervention and ROVSV / DSV campaigns
- Develop SoW for IRM survey, organise ITT, review tendering results and provide technical justification for award. Review survey results, review and risk assess anomalies as required, provide support during the campaigns
- Coach subsea technicians and junior engineers
- Assist Pipelines TA in the ORA meetings
- Budgetary accountable and budget holder for Subsea Integrity team
- Responsible and accountable for the Integrity related KPIs on the contract
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Routinely reviewing inspection reports and understanding where data is incorrect and highlighting concerns
- Routinely reviewing new anomalies and performing first pass the risk assessment in line with procedure. This requires problem solving to determine current condition, future degradation potential to assess probability of failure and assessment of operation to determine consequence of failure.
- Identification, management and monitoring of asset integrity issues following the guidance set out in PIMS / AIMS
- Analysis and interpretation of integrity management performance while producing the Subsea Annual Integrity Report. This involves combining information from a variety of sources to determine the suitability of a system to continue operation.
- Knowledge of related standards / regulatory requirements.
- Preferred degree or Diploma in Subsea Engineering or associated discipline or high level of appropriate role experience.
- Understanding of risk-based integrity processes and databases, including AIMS and PIMS.
- Detailed knowledge of inspection techniques and damage mechanisms
- Detailed knowledge of NDE techniques and their application
- Detailed knowledge of Subsea repair techniques
- Experience working within Oil & Gas industry.
- Ability to write technical documents.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package
