JOB TITLE: LOLER FOCAL POINT

Role on NEO GP3, 2/3 rota on a 12-month fixed term contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working as the appointed LOLER focal point within platform operations and carries out rigging duties as required.
• This position reports directly to the Barge Master.
• Commit to incident free operations.
• Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
• Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
• Support all departments as required with all lifting and rigging operations to ensure that they are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• May be required to assist the deck crew and crane operator for all day-to-day deck operations, ensuring good communication with other work parties and departments to ensure timely completion of lifts etc.
• Assists as required with the loading and offloading of supply vessels.
• Carry out Slinging/banksman duties including deck and supply boat loading/unloading.
• Carry out helideck duties as HAD/HLO and where required as part of helideck fire team.
• Emergency response duties as defined by NEO Energy’s Emergency Procedures and Station Bill
• Act as rigging loft co-ordinator and Lifting Co-ordinator under LOLER Regs
• Co-ordinates & carries out lifting and rigging work as and when required
• Maintain all portable lifting equipment in good order, and ensure platform operates within LOLER regs with regards management of certified lifting equipment
• Responsible for the creation and approval of requested lift plans
• Carry out worksite active monitoring and permit audits involving lifting operations.
• Commit to Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the role.
• Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of crew, and areas of environment pertaining to their position.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Few years of experience as LOLER Focal Point
• LOLER Competent person Assessment
• OPITO Banksman & Slinger Stage 4
• OPITO Rigger Stage 4
• Rigging Loft Management & Lifting Equipment Inspection
• HLO Certification (desirable)
• Restricted VHF and CAA radio certificate
• Dangerous goods by air cert.
• Dangerous goods by sea cert
• Technical Qualification
