JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL PLANNER
24 months fixed term contract – Ghana.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordinating preventive & corrective maintenance, inspections & integrity activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment to meet the asset and legislative requirements off and within the FPSO KNK. S/he oversees the smooth operations, monitors the downtime, and makes recommendations to improve performance.
- Liaises with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisor and the Integrity Department in ensuring that all quality assurance requirements adhered to and comply with the installation’s verification scheme.
- Coordinates with operations and other departments to minimize downtime levels as well as ensuring that maintenance, Functional Managers and Integrity activities are completed without disruption to production.
- Manages weekly meetings with Offshore supervising team to align the prioritization of execution of planned works.
- Prepares for approval, the weekly scheduling and planning activities.
- Be responsible for reviewing & prioritizing all corrective work requests with the work team to ensure corrective work order priorities are properly aligned and assigned.
- Ensure, in conjunction with the Maintenance Superintendent, Production Supervisor and Cargo/Marine Lead, that all assurance activities are carried out on schedule and comply with the installation’s verification scheme.
- Undertake sites inspections and determine appropriate work scopes.
- Contribute to the continued improvement and implementation of the best practices in the planning discipline.
- Ensures maximum conformance to plan attainment with resource efficient.
- Organizes and supports weekly planning and daily review meetings, issue agreed plans and action logs.
- Provide the monthly plan report to the OIM for approval.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BSc./ B. Tech in Mechanical engineering and or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant field, with significant experience working offshore, preferably on FPSO’s.
- Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate responsibility, ownership and excellence in all aspects of their work.
- Previous experience with responsibility for the maintenance of hydrocarbon processes and marine plant and equipment.
- Experience of operational, engineering and maintenance systems and processes.
- Good working knowledge maintenance standards, Integrity Management, Control of work and HSSE.
- Understanding of Planning and Scheduling processes, concepts and tools.
- Good communication and engagement skills.be successful in the role qualifications and technical experience.
