Offshore Decommissioning Consultant

CB&I is seeking an Offshore Decommissioning Consultant - Contractor for 3 months based in Sonangol, Africa.

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage. 

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.  

Scope of Services: 

 The scope of service for the position includes but may not be limited to:

·       Fulfil the role of offshore Operations and Decommissioning representative on behalf of Sonangol working a 28/28 rotation

·       Report directly to the Sonangol onshore decommissioning team and decommissioning interface manager

·       Provide oversight and assurance for the day-to-day operations and decommissioning activities on the Gimboa FPSO.

·       Participate in asset safety meetings, risk assessments and daily planning and progress meetings

·       Review project documentation including procedures and work packs

·       Verify completion of work on behalf of the client

·       Ensure safe and good industry practices are applied to all scopes

·       Identify and highlight any optimisations and efficiencies with the execution of the decommissioning scopes that include topside and subsea cleaning, preparation for disconnection and disconnection activities

·       Identify and highlight any optimisations and efficiencies with the execution of the day-to-day operations and maintenance on the facility

Deliverables:

The key deliverables for the role are:

·       Integration with the offshore Operations, Maintenance and Decommissioning teams

·       Daily calls with the Sonangol onshore decommissioning team and decommissioning interface manager

·       Weekly report issued to the onshore Sonangol team that may include but not be limited to:

o   Offshore HSEQ performance

o   Offshore scope execution progress

o   Any Issues or Concerns

o   Good working practice

o   Suggested optimisations or efficiencies

Experience:

The successful candidate should have suitable experience in:

·       Safety leadership

·       Offshore management and supervision for projects and operations

·       Offshore operations and maintenance execution

·       Late life asset management and decommissioning project work
