JOB TITLE: OFFSHORE HSE ADVISOR

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role is responsible for general HSE duties onboard the Northern Endeavour FPSO Facility while in non-production mode and during decommissioning activities. 3 week on – 3 week off rotation.
  • This role supports the implementation of the Petrofac HSEMS, inclusive of all supporting project documents e.g. safety case, environmental plan, work health and safety management plan, emergency response plan and other HSE initiatives.
  • This role is part of the offshore Operations Team, supporting and consulting with both management and workers onboard the FPSO Facility.
  • Support a positive company safety culture.
  • Participate in pre-tour and JHA meetings.
  • Maintain and deliver HSE inductions on board the facility.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits e.g., task and system verification checklists.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports.
  • Provide general HSE advice and support offshore to workers and management.
  • Support the implementation of the Petrofac HSEMS and project documentation on board the facility.
  • Support HSE meetings conducted offshore as required, including the Operations Monthly or HSE Committee.
  • Ensure the Radiation Safety Officer role is filled.
  • Ensure health and safety representatives roles are filled, where practical.
  • Support occupational health activities as required e.g., noise or hazardous substance monitoring.
  • Promotion and oversight of the hazard observation and incident reporting process.
  • Support the Management of Change and Operational Risk Assessment process.
  • Tracking and reporting of HSE related actions to ensure appropriate response and closeout.
  • Carry out the HSE assessment on new chemicals requested, as per the Petrofac ANZ Chemicals Management Procedure.
  • Support the Petrofac Australia HSE Manager, as required.

 

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum Certificate IV/Diploma in OH&S or higher.
  • Australian Driver’s License.
  • Few years of experience working in the resource industry in a HSE role, preferably in the oil and gas or the offshore industry.
  • Formal Incident Investigation Training.
  • Trade Qualification in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory regime in the Australian oil and gas industry.
  • Auditor Training.
  • BOSIET/T-BOSIET with CA-EBS Training.
  • Maritime Identification Security Card (MISC).
