JOB TITLE: OPERATION TEAM LEADER
This post is based offshore on the Anasuria FPSO on a 2/3 rota.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This role is a combined 5th Week Operations Team Leader/5th Week Operations Supervisor role.
· As OTL responsible for directing and co-ordinating activities to provide day to day leadership for the operations team members ensuring that the process plant and systems is optimised to meet environmental and production targets.
· are carried out to maximise optimum oil / gas production rates within safety, environmental, legislative and company requirements.
· This role is a key part of the offshore leadership team and requires active and visible commitment to safety leadership.
· Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s Life Saving Rules.
· ‘Live’ our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
· Possess high standards of safe working, adhering to Company procedures.
· Support and coach colleagues on/offshore and steward vendors/vendor activities when appropriate and required to do so.
· Act as permit coordinator under ISSOW system and area authority when on nightshift.
· Perform in an emergency response role as defined by the company emergency response procedures manual and installation station bill.
· Ensure appropriate data is collected, collated and reported in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy in support of production optimisation and client quality expectations. Assist with the planning, preparation and coordination of shutdown programmes, weekly planning and the implementation of safety procedures and practices.
· Be actively involved in the training, competency, coaching and assessment of Technicians.
· Carry out adhoc Control Room Operator duties when required.
· Ensure all work including that of 3rd parties is carried out in accordance with Company Procedures and Standards e.g. ISSOW, Golden Rules, etc.
· Undertake a variety of audit and monitoring functions to establish that safe and best practice is implemented.
· Ensure Production Plant deficiencies are identified, highlighted and resolutions sought.
· Actively promote performance improvement within shift team creating a mentality which is completely aligned with meeting both Business and HSEQ objectives.
· Ensure compliance of appraisals in line with Company set timelines (Scorecards, Mid-Year Reviews and End of Year reviews).
· The additional duties and responsibilities as Operations Supervisor include the following :-
· Direct team to ensure safe and efficient running of plant equipment and utilities with minimal environmental impact.
· Co-ordinate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to carefully plan and interface all maintenance activities related to production operations.
· Monitor operations and submit proposals for process / production improvements and cost savings to assist OIM with the department budget controls.
· Optimise chemical injection consumption to minimise costs and maintain production quality and expectations.
· Ensure compliance to Company procedures and controls, including assurance activities.
· Ensure immediate corrective action is taken to maximize production and control hazardous situations.
· Ensure team awareness of plant status by using log books, toolbox talks, handovers etc.
· Monitor and audit relevant records, registers, log books, and generates required reports.
· Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor, carrying out testing for NORM and implementing the required control measures.
· Responsible for all operations staff and to ensure a safe and proper handover is implemented by all operations personnel.
· Analyse production data to ensure early identification of process issues.
· Prepare and ensure that any isolations to plant / equipment are safely and correctly applied.
· Investigate and report all production losses / shortfalls, identifying proposals to avoid repetition in the future (corrective action).
· Subject to training and experience perform the role of deputy OIM / stand in OIM as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· HNC/HND qualification.
· SVQ Level 3 in Processing Hydrocarbons.
· Excellent working knowledge within O&G offshore and other relevant legislation and regulations.
· Capability to plan, schedule, prioritise and co-ordinate all operations activities to ensure that production plans and targets are met safely and effectively.
· Experience of incident investigation skills.
· Relevant time served technical apprenticeship.
· Ability to deploy engineering & operational standards / procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards.
· Ability to identify, investigate, audit and control technical change (within limit of discipline knowledge).
· Ability to effectively lead and manage multi-disciplined team (supervisory skills).
· Good communication skills both verbal and written to convey information and ideas
· a proactive approach to Safe Working Practices.
· Excellent planning and organisational skills.
· Input into project/ asset plans in timely fashion.
· Ability to provide guidance and motivation to team and co-workers.
· Ability to identify areas for continuous improvement on the asset.
· Fire Team Leader competency beneficial.
· Previous experience in a hydrocarbon related/hazardous industry.
· Experience with Marine Systems would be beneficial but not essential.
· Control Room experience is essential.
· Proven experience in similar leadership role.
