JOB TITLE: - PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pipeline Construction Supervisor will oversee daily on-site construction activities for surface pipeline projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality completion in alignment with project specifications, local regulations, and company standards. The successful candidate must have proven local UAE experience in constructing steel pipelines (X52 and X60 line pipe materials), a solid understanding of ASME B31.8/B31.4 welding requirements, and a track record of holding contractors accountable to project milestones and codes Meetings with Customers and Suppliers.

·         Pipeline Construction Management

Supervise all phases of pipeline construction, including trenching, welding, coating, backfilling, hydrotesting, and commissioning.

Oversee steel pipeline installation specifically for X52 and X60 line pipe materials, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and specifications.

Plan and coordinate day-to-day site activities to meet project timelines, budget constraints, and client expectations.

·         Quality Assurance & Compliance

Enforce strict adherence to ASME B31.8 and B31.4 welding and inspection standards.

Verify that construction methods align with project specifications, design documents, and contractual requirements.

Conduct regular audits to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds quality and safety requirements.

·         Safety & Regulatory Compliance

Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) best practices on-site.

Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi and UAE regulations, as well as company-specific safety policies.

Proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards or violations.

·         Contractor Supervision & Accountability

Lead and monitor contractor performance, verifying that all activities align with the prescribed project specifications and codes.

Provide clear directives, conduct progress meetings, and address performance or compliance issues promptly.

Work with contractors to resolve technical, schedule, and quality issues in a timely manner.

·         Resource Coordination

Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials efficiently to maintain project momentum.

Collaborate with project management to track progress, anticipate bottlenecks, and adjust plans as necessary.

·         Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily progress reports, welding records, and inspection logs.

Compile comprehensive project documentation for client handovers and internal audits.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

·         Minimum of 5–7 years of direct, on-site pipeline construction experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE.

·         Extensive hands-on experience in constructing steel pipelines (X52 and X60 line pipe materials).

·         Strong knowledge of ASME B31.8 and B31.4 welding and pipeline construction standards.

·         Familiarity with coating systems, hydrotesting methods, and specialized pipeline installation techniques used in the UAE.

·         Proven ability to supervise multi-disciplinary teams in a challenging onshore environment.

·         Comprehensive understanding of UAE local regulations and Abu Dhabi-specific guidelines (e.g., ADNOC standards).
