JOB TITLE: Security Lead
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop the Security Management Plan and manage implementation based on Petrofac policies, standards and guidelines;
  • Provide recommendations to project security management on physical, technical, static and mobile security measures required to maintain security risk at a level that is ALARP;
  • Perform threat and vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses, and maintain the security risk register current with the prevailing security environment;
  • Guide and assist project security management in the completion of project threat and vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and maintenance the project risk registers;
  • Coordinating between all sites, develop and implement the security led evacuation planning for the including the maintenance of any call off arrangements required to implement and effective evacuation;
  • Keep management advised of significant and project level security developments as and when they arise, producing regular monthly security reports for management and Group Security;
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of the security environment for the and region, including socio-political, cultural, ethnic, religious and other security relevant aspects;
  • Oversee all travel and journey management requirements, including the establishment of Standard
  • Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure compliance with project and Group security requirements;
  • Engage with the local security apparatus, community leaders and diplomatic missions and maintain strong relations with them;
  • Maintain strong communications with third party security providers to ensure that all expectations and professional standards for static and mobile security are met and maintained;
  • Maintain and strengthen the relationship with customer security functions;
  • Be fully conversant with all customer, Petrofac and project security policies, standards and procedures and ensure that they are implemented and strictly enforced;
  • Assure compliance with all relevant local and international regulatory requirements including the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights;
  • Review and where necessary, update the Security Management Plan and SOPs at least every six months;
  • Have oversight of all investigations into security related incidents;
  • Liaise with security managers from other organizations working in the to share information and maintain up to date information regarding potential risks to project personnel, equipment and materials;
  • Provide security input and support to all tenders including pricing;
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence on local sub-contractors engaged to provide services to Petrofac.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Relevant degree in Security
  • 10 years’ experience in security management
 SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Strong security management knowledge.
  • Oil and gas EPC project knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet schedules and security objectives.
  • Knowledge of the Petrofac security management processes.
  • Professional and courteous interface with customers, partners, vendors, diplomatic missions and personnel. 
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate project security personnel.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, acting under their own initiative.
  • Good security planning and analysis skills.
