JOB TITLE: SPI Admin – Instrumentation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation based programming for automation, end user trainings, technical support, intra discipline interface for requirements gathering, project delivery support.
· Drive maximum value by supporting business functions with adoption of pillar platforms, by implementing and leveraging benefits from new and existing engg. systems and technologies.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed work processes for SPI/Aveva Instrumentation.
· Responsible for SPI/Aveva Instrumentation integration with other engineering systems and non-engineering systems as required as part of the development applications (Hexagon, Aveva & In house).
· Knowledge of engineering activities in relation to SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation.
· Comprehensive programming expertise using VB 6, .NET, Aveva Dabacon DB, PML programming and SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation to implement automation.
· Excellent knowledge of SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation automation, project-set-up & configuration and customisation.
· Knowledge of SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation data structure, metadata, SQL queries/PML Programming.
· Must be able to work individually and develop custom symbols, custom commands, custom reports for SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation.
· Able to develop logic to integrate SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation with other Hexagon/ Aveva products & In-house systems.
· Knowledge of working with Infomaker, Enhance Report Utility, Import Utility, Merger Utility, Internal Set-up Utility, Rule manager Utility.
· Develop and maintain Corporate Standard Project Setup.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
· Ability to provide and deliver effective presentations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· Bachelor of Engineering Degree from an accredited College or University and having 10+ years of experience in SPI/ Aveva Instrumentation automation role in a head office environment.
· Understanding of business processes from FEED to EPC and having worked in the oil and gas industry.
· Preference will be given to candidates who have business process know how in addition to the expertise with Hexagon/Aveva tools.
