The post is based offshore on the GP3 FPSO on a 2/3 rotation – 18th months fixed term.
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads a team to safely and efficiently deliver production. This position reports directly to the Offshore Installation Manager. There is also a requirement to report/coordinate with the production focal point onshore.
To have sufficient understanding of process safety and major accident hazard management to be able to effectively contribute and influence business decisions impacting process safety.
Lead Production team in the commitment to incident free operations.
Where appropriate, position to provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation and response to major accidents.
Directly responsible for the management of well fluids, subsea and the Installation’s oil, water and gas process, metering, chemical injection, flare and water emissions and comply with regulatory reporting and constraints.
Ensure priorities and resources (manpower and equipment) are optimised to meet potential production targets and budgeted volumes for the facility, to meet asset business goals and objectives.
Perform role as the ‘Focal Point’ for the Safe System of/ Permit to Work system, responsible for assessing competence of nominated area operators and isolating authorities.
Directly responsible as the area authority to ensure all production / third party activities strictly adhere to the safe system of work, all contractors and vendors are adequately supervised and time managed and ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.
Perform role as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) for the safe use and storage of all radioactive isotopes located on the installation.
In emergency situations involving production facilities initiate relevant procedures and execute duties as specified in the station bill /emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIM.
Supervise, coach and support direct reports in a professional manner.
Commit to Competence Assurance System and responsible for the competence and training of the production teams to ensure crew capability, development and succession plans.
Comply with Company procedures and ensure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant information in accordance with these procedures.
Responsible for spending of the Production portion of the annual budget.
Contribute to identifying and agreeing the work programs and budgets for following years.
Manage individual projects and initiatives of benefit to the facility as required.
To deliver and oversee Incident Free offshore production and operability of all process systems on the installation, in a way that reinforces company values and protects and maximises our revenue streams, availability, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the asset.
Responsible for maintaining and updating as necessary (including but not limited to) the following facility registers and records.
Locked open/ locked closed register.
Spec blind/ Spade register
PTW/ retained isolation register.
DECC Regulatory Records.
Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of production crew, and areas of environment pertaining to their position.
Responsible for prioritising and the safe execution of installation 28 day and maintenance shutdown work plans pertaining to their area.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
N/SVQ Processing Operations Hydrocarbons (level 3) or equivalent.
Experience in a Hydrocarbon environment.
CRO controlling emergencies preferred.
Production experience in relation to the processing of hydrocarbons in the offshore environment.
Knowledge of Production and Maintenance Activities, associated technical standards and processes.
Knowledge of major accident hazards and knowledge of key safety legislation and regulations.
Proven experience of coordinating and control / monitoring work across a range of disciplines.
Proven supervisory experience in offshore or similar environment.
Supervisory, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
Manage risks in an effective manner.
Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.
Experience in the administration, control and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including permit to work procedures.
