JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN TRAINEE
This post is based in Ghana on a 12 months fixed term contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the production team to start- up, Operate, Monitor, and Shut Down Process and Utility systems.
Assists the production technician I in monitoring the correct function of process equipment and instrumentation.
Communicating deficiencies to the Production Technician, Production Supervisor, or Production Lead.
Being conversant with Company policies and procedures applicable to the work and performing tasks safely and responsibly.
Aids production team in adjusting chemical injection pumps to the optimum operational and costeffective injection rates.
Assists production Tech I in ensuring correct plant readings are recorded and documented.
Ensuring proper, verbal and written, handover during shift change and end of trip.
Providing Control Room Operations support as directed by the Production Supervisor
Ensuring continuous compliance with the company's competency assessment procedure.
Performing duties within capabilities as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Application of mechanical isolations under an electronic permit to work system.
Performing first-line maintenance activities as directed and following the maintenance management system.
Any other duties including housekeeping as directed by the Production Supervisor
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
BSc. / B. Tech in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum years of experience or more in relevant field of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities or industrial processing experience.
Ability to utilize interpersonal skills in resolving issues
Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar qualification level.
Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative
Good Interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
