JOB TITLE: Project Quality Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take leadership in managing the quality management system. Develop and implement project specific quality plans, perform internal and external audits, manage client liaison and supplier quality performance and coordination of all QA/QC activities.

  • Identify key procedures and monitor implementation.
  • Interfaces with Sharjah (UAE), Chennai (India) and other offices within Petrofac, Client, Suppliers in aligning the requirements including coordination with inspection agencies for the mobilization of inspectors.
  • Establish a multi discipline Project Quality Team and align the quality resources with business needs to assure effective coverage of the project.
  • Ensure proper planning for inspection activities. Ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release and implement suitable corrective actions.
  • Convene pre-inspection meetings and approve inspection and test plan and procedures.
  • Review the Quality Audit schedule for each project encompassing the specific project requirements.
  • Appraise vendor’s capability to provide suitable product/service.
  • Montor performance of internal and external inspectors and inspection agencies, suppliers etc.
  • Ensure proper planning for inspection activities.
  • Convene pre-inspection meetings and approve inspection and test plan and procedures.
  • Attend client quality management meetings.
  • Inspection release and implement suitable corrective actions.
  • Manage supplier non-conformity and ensure effective resolution.
  • Ensure all customer quality incidents are closed appropriately and on-time.
  • Ensure disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
  • Ensure the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
  • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation.
  • Conduct management review of the quality management system and monitor implementation of management review actions.
  • Coordinate all supplier audits on behalf of the company’s management.
  • Analyze quality information (audit results, process / product non-conformities, feedback etc.) and identify corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
  • Maintain cordial relationship with Client Representative and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed, and fulfilled.
  • Monitor and analyze Customer Satisfaction.
  • Compile monthly reports and submit to Quality Director.
  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the Quality Supply Manager.
  • Monitor statistical method reporting, monthly KPI’s.
  • Directly reports to Quality Supply Manager.
  • Indirectly reports to Quality Director.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in a similar role within the Offshore Wind or Offshore Oil & Gas business.
  • Knowledge in CE marking & EU directives/regulations.
  • Experienced with European Codes and Standards.
  • Familiar with German requirements within the renewable energy sector.
  • Capability in assessing Suppliers and Sub-contractors.
  • Experience with system engineering.
  • Experience in communicating with multi-cultural nationalities.
  • Professional education in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar. 
  • Degree or certified proficiency in Quality Management is a preference. 
  • QMS Lead Auditor.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1/3.2/AWS CWI/SCWI).
  • Painting Inspector (NACE Level II/III/BGAS Grade 2/1) or equivalent.
  • ASNT/PCN Level II in RT, PT, MT & UT.
  • Certification or proficiency in electrical engineering.
