JOB TITLE: Reservoir Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivery of reservoir management plans to optimise stakeholder interests and value:
  • Formulate, review, and enhance reservoir management plans and reservoir surveillance plans.
  • Identify, propose, and evaluate opportunities to improve hydrocarbon production and recovery.
  • Provide support to other groups in well intervention, data acquisition, etc.
  • Prepare production forecasts using decline curve analysis, simulation models and/or other acceptable techniques.
  • Identify and perform reservoir engineering studies as required.
  • Ensure technical quality control; maintain technical standards, monitor, recommend and apply best practices.
  • Ensure a comprehensive range in subsurface understanding is passed to production forecasts, ensuring input, approaches and assumptions used are consistent.
  • Participate in cross-asset Peer and Technical Reviews as required.
  • Contribute as required to Asset Documentation.
  • Strictly adhere to Corporate and Departmental HSE policies & guidelines. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  •        Degree in relevant subsurface discipline (reservoir/petroleum engineering) or equivalent.
  •        Minimum 3 years relevant practical experience in reservoir management/surveillance.
  •        Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  •      Sound cross discipline skills, with an understanding from geoscience through reservoir engineering to petroleum and well engineering.
  •        Knowledge of well design and associated flow assurance issues (inc. Gas Lift Design, Sand Control, Corrosion, scale, wax etc).
  •        Knowledge of production enhancement activities and related operations including: gas lift optimisation, perforations, scale & wax removal, stimulation.
  •        Good understanding of hydrocarbon resource estimation and reserves audit procedures.
  •      Good interpersonal skills, including ability to plan and present a coherent story to other colleagues as well as partners and management.
  •       Be self-motivated to accomplish world-class results, generally positive in outlook, and able to cope in a dynamic environment.
  •       Strong written and verbal command of English.
  •  A good understanding of upstream processes.
