JOB TITLE: Senior Advisor - HSE (Training)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement Training Management plan for the Project
  • Develop project HSE Training matrix and monthly rolling training plan based on the site work priorities
  • Develop required training modules based on the corporate modules and project HSE procedures
  • Conduct HSE Inductions and craft trainings as required for the project
  • Conducts both theoretical and (practical whenever needed) HSE training sessions
  • Establish HSE training data base for the project/office and ensure data base is maintained and updated effectively.
  • Review effectiveness of trade specific training and competency programs
  • Continuously monitor and review HSE training courses and programs for relevance with a focus of identifying areas for improvement
  • Prepare weekly and monthly training statistics and provide the reports to HSE Manager
  • Develop and issue HSE related safety flashes, alerts, bulletins, training hand-outs other awareness material
  • Conducts periodic HSE training audits as part of the continual improvement process
  • Ensure suggestions and recommendations resulting from feedback are thoroughly assessed and followed-up within a timely manner
  • Implement Competency Assessment process for HSE and Non-HSE positions as required
  • Carry out other training related tasks as advised by the supervisor
  • Be the focal point for training and competency section for all internal and external HSE audits
  • Assess sub-contractor trainers to ensure they are competent, experienced, and appropriate for the role
  • Interface and coordinate training activities with all the subcontractors
  • Conduct periodic audits for all the sub-contractors on HSE trainings
  • Assess subcontractor workforce capabilities and modify training programs and presentations as needed to maximize workforce learnings
  • Translate HSE training material in local languages where required
  • Assist in HSE campaigns on safe driving, H2S awareness etc.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor Degree in Science from a recognized and reputable university.
  • NEBOSH GC/IGC or IOSH or any certification in Safety
  • Certified Instructor/Tutor/Trainer from an international Institution/ Certification Body/ Organization like National Safety Council (NSC), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), etc.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including 5 years’ in the Oil & Gas Industry.
 SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Strong teamwork, able to work with multi-national team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-culture and multi-company environments
  • Strong training presentation, coordination, evaluation, & planning skills.
  • Competent computer skills; presentation, spreadsheets, document preparation etc.
