Senior Contracts Contractor
CB&I are seeking a Senior Contracts Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of work will be to support upcoming projects in the UK and Europe, supporting all C&P requirements and working alongside an existing team of contracts professionals.
Deliverables to be met during the duration of the contract are detailed below.
- Ensure placement of required Priority 1-4 contracts within Contracts Strategy and tender plan for project.
- Provide supply chain expertise to support business development activities during tendering exercise, end to end.
- Input to and update the Asset Solutions subcontracts plan
- Provide benefit of expertise to support Project Manager and Technical Team in presenting the Company’s position to suppliers and advise managers on their subcontract rights and obligations.
- Assist in the resolution of subcontract claims and disputes.
- Adhere to company procedures and processes and follow these principles in all aspects of the role, in so far as they relate to the Contractor.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality of all allocated subcontracts and ITT processes.
- Ensure any agreed subcontract position is approved in line with the Company Delegation of Authority Matrix and all Board approvals are met.
- Ensure that where appropriate the sub-contract terms drafted are aligned with client protocol and back to back coverage with client contracts.
- Where appropriate liaise with legal, tax, insurance and compliance to obtain their input into subcontracts.
- Liaise continuously with technical teams (Well Engineering and also Logistics), clients where appropriate and sponsor departments.
- Development of project subcontract strategy papers and plans for well operations.
- Where appropriate, develop negotiation strategies and deliver optimised results.
- Prepare and issue to the selected contractors approved contracts and deal with subsequent contract amendments.
- Maintain and log all subcontract change authorisations and amendments.
- Work with the various Company departments to negotiate Master Services Agreement subcontract terms with suppliers, in support of project, in line with Asset Solutions Best Practice and prepare justification for any significant exceptions for senior management approval.
- Prepare, issue and evaluate detailed Invitation to Tender (ITT) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages covering objective, evaluation and award.
- Provide project specific input to the performance feedback review plan (or any other plan as requested by company) and carrying out performance feedback reviews in accordance with the plan.
