JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer – HSE Design (Offshore / Yard)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide technical direction and implement the project construction, Commissioning work processes, procedures, manuals and systems ensuring that the contractors are building to the latest revision of the drawings, specifications, and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with all statutory procedures and quality and safety standards including any defined recording and reporting procedures.
· Monitor and perform technical audits, in progress inspections, to ensure that project technical requirements are being met. Resolve all the technical queries.
· Facilitate Construction team by providing clarification to engineering documents issued for construction.
· Work in cooperation with Completions group and owner representatives; perform system identification and turnover of completed project facilities including preparation of necessary turnover documentation.
· Perform Constructability reviews and studies to optimize design. Propose modifications in consultation with office design team to engineering design and interpret drawings, specifications and other technical documents for the subcontractors.
· Provide technical clarifications to vendor representatives during their assignments on the jobsite.
· Monitor generation of field materials requisitions (FMR), receipt of materials, and preparation of material summary reports.
· Review Reports and inputs of actual quantities installed on a daily basis.
· Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations etc.
· Answering/Issuing Request for Information (RFI), issuing Field Change Request (FCR), Field Change Notice (FCN) and Deficiency Reports as required.
· Actively participate in “As built Mark-up” and transferring the same to design engineering group.
· Initiate back charges as appropriate if vendor/sub-contractor supply or works in error.
· Participate in site HSE audits such as PHSER
· Coordinate with client, regulatory authorities, Vendors, Subcontractors
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering with over 10 years of technical safety and loss prevention site experience preferably in offshore projects, yards
· Commissioning support expereince in fire fighting and life saving equipment
· Knowledge in international standards pertaining to fire detection systems, fire fighting systems, Life saving appliances
· Familiar with offshore regulations
· Strong presentation and communication abilities for engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
