JOB TITLE: SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual reports, while managing project costing and performing variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

  • Responsible for investigating and resolving project exceptions on a weekly basis, reconciling inter-company accounts, and liaising with related parties to identify and address discrepancies. Additionally, manage the fixed asset register and oversee cash management activities, including weekly bank reconciliations.

  • Trial balance review including revenue, COS and overheads analysis for the various entities under control

  • Generate reports on costs incurred by the various entities under control with commentary on deviations against expected results.

  • Raising intercompany monthly debit notes for expenses incurred by PFML as well as enter invoices received from various group companies of            Petrofac as approved by the respective project managers.

  • Coordinate with various Group accountants to identify and rectify any variances between Intercompany AR, AP and loan balances

  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all company information

  • Perform all payroll reconciliations and journals and instigate payment requests for statutory payments before the due dates.

  • Assist with preparation of statutory returns and tax related workpapers (Income tax, BAS, CbC Reporting, FBT and WHT)

  • Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations for specified accounts.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing accounts in a multi-national organization

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification or working towards

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Capable of interpreting / analyzing financial data and proficient in MS Office Application

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills as well as being proficient in English (written and spoken)

  • Highly independent person with sense of urgency, responsible and results-oriented

  • Positive work attitude and able to work under pressure.
