Responsibilities:
- Responsible for controlling of project Dimensional control survey requirements.
- Review and approve Project specific Dimension Control Procedure /Plan and ensures that project personnel follow its guidelines.
- Keep up to date with latest technology/best practice and advise project of changes to methods, standards etc.
- Provide technical support to the project.
- Ensures that subcontractor follows a project specific dimensional control plan and that all survey work is logged and distributed as per project distribution matrix.
- Ensures Out Of Tolerance registers are maintained and all non-conformances are signed off by the responsible parties.
- Ensures the dimension control plan contains appropriate checks and negotiates any additional requirements by the Employer.
- Interface with Employer and Subcontractor for necessary Dimensional requirements.
Minimum Job Requirement:
- Diploma or Engineering degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering (but not essential if an alternative route can be demonstrated)
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience, five of which should be related to Steel work fabrication in Oil & Gas /wind energy industry related environment.
- Knowledge in various types of Latest Survey equipment’s and their application.
- Knowledge in civil construction survey techniques.
- Knowledge in CAD & Drafting, 3D applications.
- Familiar with latest revisions of relevant international codes and standards, including (preferably with NORSOK/DNV and optional BS/API RP 2A/API RP 2B/EEMUA/AWS)
- Experience in maintaining fabrication tolerances considering various factors such as weld clearances, thermal expansions.
- Dedicated to the delivery of exemplary safety performance
- Ability to work in an integrated multi-cultural team
