·         Ensure that all safety precautions are in place for all lines for being in a state of readiness for any future project work for example pad locking and spading etc.

·         Monitor inspection of reinstatement related to instrument and mechanical systems to check for their final status.

·         Conduct activities associated with pre-commissioning in terms of setting up the plant and facilities whilst supporting the commissioning discipline engineers.

·         Conduct static and dynamic checks on plant and equipment in accordance with the applicable commissioning procedures.

·         Witness all logics checks and instruments and ensure that the minimal optimum requirements for the smooth functioning of instruments are in place.

·         Ensure LOTO is implemented for both Electrical and Mechanical components as required for the safe Commissioning and Start-Up of systems/plants.

·         Work distributed among the team members as per the skill sets and competence of each team member and all targets achieved within deadlines.

·         Ability to monitor and ensure quality of crew members.

·         Ability to lead a team of operators to execute the work safely.

·         Be continually present on the field to guarantee the quality and progress of the work.

·         Prepare and submit permit to work documentation as applicable.

·         Ensure commissioning area is controlled, all energized systems clearly marked and barricaded off. Access control in place. SIMOPS are carefully assessed and controlled.

·         Ensure the necessary checks, smooth and trouble free running of packages as per the vendor data sheet specifications.

·         Assist in preparing plans and specific method statements including P&ID mark ups for activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of process systems.

·         Facilitate the OTP (Operating Test Procedures) run as have been specified by the supervisor and Head Office.

·         Ability to assist in performing various activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of process systems such as chemical cleaning, leak testing, catalyst loading, steam blowing, package unit start-up and operation, inerting, plant start-up operation & stabilization.

·         Ability to inspect all systems for operational readiness.

·         Able to assist in preparation of plans and specific method statements including P&ID mark ups for activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of process systems.

·         Ability to ensure stable plant/unit operations and monitor flow, level, temperature, pressure, etc. to ensure that plant/unit operates normally without trips/shutdown.

·         Ability to assist in DCS operations such as alarm trips, logic, interlocks, permissive, overrides etc.

·         Take part of plant start-up and operations by operating valves, pumps etc as per supervisor/engineer instructions.

·         Ensure that agreed resources as per approved plan are available to ensure no slippage in schedule.

·         Accurate interpretation and understanding of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, circuit diagrams and control narratives; no rework or time lost due to incorrect interpretation.

·         Perform Factory and Site Acceptance test for equipment and packages as per approved project procedures & prepare reports for approval to the client.

·         Supervise the housekeeping activities before commissioning of the plant.

·         Conduct P&ID line walkthrough to ensure plant readiness for commissioning and start-up and generate punch list.

·         Carry out any other related duties as and when directed by the supervisor.
