Senior Planning Engineer

CB&I is seeking a Planning Engineer 3 - Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.

Scope of Work:

Assist the project delivery team with project planning services on a portfolio EPC contract, to enable accurate internal and external reporting.

Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below

·         Act as responsible planning focal point for assigned projects

·         Develop and maintain Integrated Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) plans at various levels for assigned projects in line with agreed project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

·         Monitor and control planned activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle

·         Provide support to Project Manager and Project Engineers in the successful delivery of all work within assigned projects

·         Ensure project team have full awareness of their respective project activities, and track compliance to plan delivery

·         Attend and provide input at respective project planning meetings

·         Attend and provide input at client planning meetings

·         Schedule monitoring, analysis and update, including progress input and monitoring of performance in relation to plan

·         Provide engineering resource forecasting and analysis to project team

·         Produce plans and reports in line with project reporting requirements

·         Produce plans and reports on an ad-hoc basis to project and client teams

·         Manage project interfaces with Client Asset plan

·         Provide schedule impact analysis on management of change in line with established plan entry criteria

·         Support the Lead Planning Engineer with project and non-project related support activities/initiatives when required

·         Implementation of best practices and planning system/tools users’ guidelines

·         Close liaison with cost, estimating and procurement departments

Deliverables:

Services should be provided within the agreed timeframe to produce or assist with the following deliverables:

·         Progress collection & input

·         Project schedule development & Maintenance

·         Project manhour reporting

·         Project forecast information (EG histograms / cost forecast)

·         Schedule narrative / analysis to accompany outputs (retrospective and future trends)

·         Monthly project report input

·         Milestone attainment (Weekly / monthly)

·         Offshore / Site construction reports
