Position Title :  Senior Technician Commissioning-Telecom

Scope of Responsibilities

Conduct installation, preservation/maintenance, pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing of one or more systems as per work assignment

Primary Duties

Participate in the installation, connection and tuning of a variety of equipment as per job assignment at various locations as required by clients.

Implement modification and enhancement of various equipment and participate in installation and commissioning of new systems.

Maintain a record of all tools and test equipment utilized and ensures their availability by accurate checks and ensure their accuracy by periodically sending them to Lab for calibration as recommended by the manufacturer and client.

Be continually present on the field to execute the work.

Ability to lead a team of technicians to execute the work safely.

In close coordination with contractors (when on site) undertakes the installation of equipment and ensures that performance of the equipment is within agreed standards and requirements.

Ensure compliance to HSSE policies/practices and Zero incidents, LTIs.

Ensure availability of proper instrument/equipment before starting the job.

Conduct Commissioning-related testing activities at site.

Ensures correct tool packages are available along with detailed comprehensive commissioning procedures for individual jobs.

Ability to monitor tools and responsible for tools given to him.

 Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as and when directed by Supervisor

 Supervise commissioning activities for the following telecommunication systems:
• PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm)
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• IP & Analog Telephone Systems
• UHF TETRA Radio Systems
• Structured Cabling Systems
• LAN/WAN Networks (Business LAN & Security LAN)
• Access Control Systems
• GSM Signal Enhancement Systems
• Fiber Optic Network / Systems

Execute and ensure compliance with approved Commissioning Procedures and Risk Assessments.

Ensure strict adherence to HSE procedures and site permit-to-work systems.

Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and other disciplines during Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), integration, and commissioning phases.

Participate in system walk-downs, functional testing, loop checks, energization, and troubleshooting.

Maintain detailed records of daily activities, testing progress, and issue resolution.

Manage and close punch list items in coordination with clients, vendors and construction teams.

Support the final system handover and ensure all as-built documentation and test records are completed and submitted.
