JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL ASSESSOR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out workplace competence assessments on Offshore personnel in Ivory Coast.
- Carry out base line assessments on individuals against safety critical tasks within Operations & Maintenance.
- Design, develop and deliver assessment programs for personnel involved in the Operations & Maintenance of oil & gas facilities.
- Ensure that the Asset personnel can safely carry out activities and identify any additional training required.
- Interfacing with TMS and CMS systems – recording assessment results, feedback reporting, etc.
- Development of competency criteria and role profiles relevant to the area of expertise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, local regulations, and best practices.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement in HSE standards to build a proactive safety culture within the operations and maintenance team.
- Have full awareness of the Company Code of Conduct and Business Ethics.
- Working knowledge of discipline standards necessary to operate and maintain assets.
- Working knowledge of commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities for oil and gas facilities.
- Role will require frequent travel and visits to Assets in Ivory Coast.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Vocational qualification in a recognized Operations and/or Maintenance discipline.
- Recognized Assessor qualification (L&D9DI, A1 or equivalent).
- Offshore experience in a Lead / Supervisory role.
- BOSIET.
- Knowledge and understanding of safe system of work and CMMS work order management process.
- Demonstrable experience of working in Training & Competence in Africa regions.
- Ability to communicate and drive performance across a diverse multi-cultural workforce.
- Ability to actively engage with the national workforce to coach, mentor and assess staff, resolving current knowledge and skills gaps.
- Ability to work in a multi-discipline team to develop solutions focused on client objectives.
- Ability to set and meet targets and deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to establish good client relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously to deliver key objectives as well as working as part of a wider team.
