JOB TITLE: Technical / Rig Clerk

Category: Oil & Gas

Location: Onshore – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Rotation: 28/28
Duration: 12 Months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       The Rig Clerk provides essential administrative and logistical support to the Rig Manager and field operations team on an unconventional oil field in Abu Dhabi.

·       This onshore role is responsible for coordinating personnel logistics, maintaining accurate records, supporting safety compliance, and acting as a liaison between field staff and corporate departments.

·       The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in fast-paced oilfield environments.

·       Coordinate crew movements and maintain accurate personnel-on-site (POS) records

·       Prepare daily and weekly reports, including crew rosters, timesheets, and expense claims

·       Support rig management with administrative tasks and documentation

·       Liaise with HR, travel, and payroll departments to ensure smooth personnel logistics

·       Track training compliance and short service employees

·       Attend and document safety meetings and toolbox talks

·       Arrange travel and accommodations for field personnel when required

·       Maintain filing systems and ensure documentation is up to date and audit-ready

·       Act as the point of contact for field staff regarding schedules, training, and HR queries

·       Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Rig Manager

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·       High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)

·       Minimum year of administrative or logistics experience in the Oil & Gas industry (essential)

·       Experience in Unconventional Oil & Gas operations (preferred)

·       Experience working on projects or with contractors (ideal)

·       Strong communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus)

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP experience preferred

·       Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment

·       Valid H2S certification and other relevant onshore oilfield safety certifications (preferred)

·       Must be able to pass pre-employment medical, background checks, and HSE training requirements

·       Additional Information: This is a local hire position based in Abu Dhabi; candidates must be eligible to work in the UAE

·       The role may require occasional travel to remote field locations
