JOB TITLE: WELL SERVICES SUPERVISOR

The Well Services Supervisor is expected to be an experienced individual who is capable of working autonomously as part of the onshore engineering team to assist in preparation for readiness to execute operations and to supervise day-to-day well / subsea operations offshore on the LWIV during execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise operations in accordance with Petrofac Well Control Standard.
  • Ensure Safety Critical Equipment testing, and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
  • The Offshore Well Services Supervisor will be responsible for carrying out assigned work with particular emphasis on HSEQ performance, preparation of engineering execution and supervision of offshore activities.
  • Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
  • Ensure that well design, construction, intervention, and subsea production system flushing procedures comply with Petrofac, Client and the relevant legislative requirements.
  • Involved in the preparation and review of onshore FAT/SIT procedures, intervention programmes, flushing programmes and interface documents with the LWIV service partner.
  • Supervise the installation and testing of subsea and all intervention equipment in compliance with programme.
  • Collate daily operations and report in IDS.
  • Responsible for input into programmes, work instructions and programme amendments for the construction, re-entry, repair of a well, and subsea production system flushing.
  • Direct report to the appointed onshore Team Lead.

Key Tasks

  • Work closely with all team disciplines.
  • Work closely with third party contractors to ensure technical and physical continuity is maintained.
  • Support the project team in submission for and the implementation of and adherence to Petrofac and Clients project specific HSEQ and legislative requirements.
  • Actively participate in Tool Box Talk meetings.
  • Pre-Tour briefing of crews as to the planned operations and operational risks.
  • Brief crews during pre-tour meetings as to planned operations and related operational risk.
  • Ensure that records of all xmas tree and completions equipment installed are properly documented.
  • Witness all interfaces with Slickline and e-line toolstrings.
  • Witness all pressure tests and function tests to ensure all tests are carried out to Petrofac’s Standards.
  • Ensure all Well Acceptance Criteria’s (WAC) are captured and reported in IDS and sent to town for review in a timely manner for sign off.
  • Any changes that differ from the programme are captured in a Management of Change (MOC) and signed off by the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure crews work efficiently to minimise invisible lost time.
  • Through close supervision, promote operational excellence during operations.
  • Monitor contractor performance and liaise with contractor to optimise same.
  • Capture lessons learned in Turus and feed back to the onshore Senior Drilling Engineer / Senior Subsea Engineer.
  • Encourage all crew members to contribute to all aspects involved in the safe and efficient execution of well operations and the rig safety systems.
  • Record all non conformances and non production time and provide these to the Senior Drilling Engineer and Senior Subsea Engineer.
  • Prepare load out lists and liaise with the Logistics Supervisor on the rig to ensure equipment movements are efficient with a view to maintaining cost control.
  • Confirm the supply of Services is as per call-off.
  • Participate in review and management of FAT, SIT of equipment.
  • Day to day office based well operations support as required.
  • Support preparation of statutory notifications to government and other parties.
  • Work planning and scheduling in relation to offshore activities.
  • Participate in the inputting and close out of all lessons in Turus.
  • Support in risk reviews and document same as required by the project utilising Turus.
  • Participate in client project meetings and weekly reporting requirements.
  • Support all aspects of the required end of well reporting by all relevant service companies and Petrofac.
  • Lead accident / incident investigations when required.
  • Leading morning calls between town and LWIV.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years of offshore oil & gas supervisory experience.
  • Supervisory level 4 well control certification (IWCF Well Intervention or equivalent) mandatory.
  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Will require extensive knowledge and be familiar with Xmas Tree and completions related intervention techniques.
  • Familiar with Light Well Intervention Operations (LWIV).
  • Familiar with Subsea Tree System operations.
  • Experienced with well intervention operations.
  • Familiar with IDS reporting.
