Job Title: Wellsite Logistics Manager

Duration: Project-based contract aligned with the P&A campaign schedule

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Liaise with Petrofac Logistics Superintendent, Base Contractors, Offshore DMC, Vessel Masters, Vessel Crew and Contactors’ Stevedores to ensure the safe and efficient management of operations on the Supply Base.

·         Ensure all safety systems are in place before commencing work

·         Ensure a Toolbox Talk has taken place prior to commencement of any Task or in the event that work conditions have altered during the course of the Task. Audit the Toolbox Talks as required.

·         Ensure that Vessel Masters and the crews are fully briefed on operations prior to work commencing.

·         Hold morning meetings and post shift debriefs to discuss the daily HSE issues with a particular focus on “Time outs for Safety”.

·         Manage control and maintain a safe working environment ensuring that RAKPA/Petrofac Procedures and all Industry Guidelines are adhered to.

·         Discuss requirements with the offshore DMC to ensure timings and equipment delivery requirements are understood and achievable.

·         Liaise with the Onshore Engineer and Offshore DMC’s regarding sailing schedules for the forward planning of vessel movements and produce a daily vessel report.

·         Liaise with the RAK Ports & RAKPA/Petrofac HSE Advisors to ensure complete compliance to Industry and Environmental standards.

·         Attend Morning and Logistic operational calls with Head Office and Offshore location report and advise on any Base HSE and Logistics related issues.

·         Supervise the Document Controller (and their sub-ordinates / contractors) ensuring that all Daily Checks are carried out and that work areas are maintained to Industry standards.

·         Manage the RAKPA/NOF Waste Management System, ensuring that all the procedures and environmental responsibilities are being adhered.

·         Ensure that all Drilling Tubulars are racked, transported and shipped in accordance with Manufacturer and Industry Guidelines.

·         Supervise the Base Operators and any Third-Party Vendors ensuring that they are compliant with Industry Guidelines and Procedures.

·         Liaise with vendors to confirm availability of equipment, arrange a 3rd Party QA/QC Vendor visit, day of loading and request cargo summary detailing number and dimensions of lifts, any DG's, Packing List including HS Codes and Commercial Invoice

·         Provide 'Load List' to RPSCS detailing all cargo, identifying priority lifts and any hazardous cargo

·         Manage, control and ensure that all Inventories are accurately maintained and up to date.

·         Receive/Supervise cargo to marshalling area checking certification and loading of all CCUs

·         Ensure that all Rental Equipment is returned off hire in a timely, well-communicated and efficient manner.

·         Liaise with the appointed in country agents and freight forwarders to ensure that materials transit through local Customs as efficiently as possible.

·         Ensure Base Operators and Third-Party Vendors carry out all Bulk delivery operations in line with Industry and Environmental Guidelines.

·         Ensure vessel is loaded as per 'Load List' instructions by the RAK Port's Stevedores

·         Implement a CCU’s checking system and a DROPS scheme in line with Industry Practice.

·         Ensure sailing request/instructions are issued to RAK Ports/Customs & Coastguard

·         Ensure that all Shore Base personnel are made aware of their Emergency Response duties.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·         20 years of Experience

·         With majority experience of Onshore/Offshore Drilling Projects

·         Project Management / Drilling Projects

·         Internationally accepted certification for travelling and working on drilling units & production platforms.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Quantity Surveyor qualifications (Preferred)

 

Certifications:

·         Valid BOSIET/HUET certification.

·         Valid H2S Certificate

 

Skills:

·         To produce a Daily Vessel Movement Plan.

·         To produce a Daily Base Report

·         To ensure and encourage the safe and efficient operation of the Onshore Supply Base.

·         For the avoidance of any doubt, the people who report directly to the Base Manager are:

    • Document Controller (and their sub-ordinates)
    • 3rd Party Vendors when on the RAK Ports Base 3rd Party Vendors when on the RAK Ports Base

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Physically fit to meet medical requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

·         Have good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both the external and internal work force.
